U of T Community Members
Anyone that is able to log in with Weblogin will be able to log into an instance of EVE. A user’s affiliation (Faculty, Staff and/or Student) will be part of their EVE user account. Registration to events can be open to the whole U of T community, be limited to specific affiliations and/or custom attendee roles.
Custom Attendee Roles
These roles are specific to your EVE op unit, depending on the settings for the role users can self identify as a role (which must be confirmed in the admin) or the role can be assigned in the admin. Once the role is confirmed, the user can register to events limited to that role.*
*Eligibility to register for events is inclusive, if a user has multiple affiliations and/or custom roles if any one of them is allowed to register for the event they can register for the event.
For example: ABC Event (open to Staff and a custom role “TA”).
User 1 – Staff = Can register
User 2 – TA = Can register
User 3 – TA and Faculty = Can register because they have TA custom role
User 4 – Faculty = Cannot register as the event is limited to Staff and/or TA
Custom Administrative Roles
NOTE: Only U of T Community Members (those who can log in through Weblogin) can be access the admin area.
These roles are for when there should be people having a more limited specific access to work in the EVE instance without being an Admin, which have access to all settings and features. For more information please look at the resources below.
